The forktail rainbowfish, also known as the furcata rainbow, is prized for the bight yellow fringe all along the fins when the fish reaches maturity. Caudal (tail) fins have a fork shape, hence the name forktail. These rainbowfish are part of the pseudomugil family which in general are small schooling rainbowfish perfect of peaceful community fish tanks, nano aquariums, and planted tanks. These rainbowfish will not harm fancy shrimp either!
